About Us

Michigan State Swim Club is the official swim team of Michigan State University. Founded in 2016, we’ve grown into one of the largest and most spirited club sports on campus.

We’re a co-ed, student-run team that trains, competes, and builds community. Our season runs September through April, representing MSU in College Club Swimming (CCS) meets at both Regional and National Championships.

What we offer:

  • Inclusive team culture — no tryouts required. Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned competitor, you’ll find a place here.

  • Coached daily practices to help swimmers improve, stay fit, and stay connected.

  • Competition opportunities at home meets, travel meets, Regionals, and Nationals.

  • Social events & lifelong friendships — because being part of a team is about more than the water.

  • Community involvement through volunteer projects in East Lansing and beyond.

  •

At MSUSC, we believe in more than swimming laps — we believe in making memories, chasing goals, and carrying on Spartan spirit in and out of the pool.

Mission

Michigan State Swim Club exists to provide competitive swimming opportunities for students of all skill levels and experiences. Beyond the pool, we serve as a training ground for leadership, teamwork, and personal growth.

Through inclusive programming, we create space for every student to participate, improve, and reach their full potential. Our mission is carried out in daily practices, team activities, and competitions with universities across the country.
